About
We are the F&M Builders, and we like building things. More specifically, we are a group of devoted students at Franklin & Marshall College who work on designing and developing projects related to STEM fields. We are inspired by innovation, creativity, and solving problems collaboratively.

Meeting Times
We have weekly meetings every Thursday from 6-7 PM in HAC 218. This meeting is designed to keep members updated about the club and have student or faculty presentations. Project team leaders provide status reports on their projects, brainstorm problems and roadblocks with the rest of the club, and establish goals to be accomplished by the next meeting. We not only work on projects, but we also provide a space where we can expand our knowledge about other areas of science, technology, and innovation.
We are also proud to announce the launch of our new structure: mentor groups! Each mentor group is led by a mentor student, and the groups are based on interest. Our current groups are: Coding/Programming, Drone, Robotics, and Building/Manufacturing. Each mentor sets up workshop hours for their group which functions as time for the mentor groups to work on projects. The mentor group will have one main project, but individuals can have their own projects within a group. We are also happy to consider ideas for new mentor groups!
We do ask for funding from the school to help our groups, but COG grants are also great ways to supplement a project.
All meeting times are open to all F&M students and faculty members. Any student can come to meetings to meet members, check out what we're up to, and propose their own project. Though being a STEM-based group, we love to hear project ideas from any student!

Our Location
We operate in the Student Maker Space, a project development workshop in the Hackman Physical Sciences Laboratories at Franklin & Marshall College.
The Student Maker Space contains various resources that are used in project planning and development. Using anything from construction materials and hand tools, to electronics and computer software, the F&M Builders pose project ideas and solve them. We are an open student forum for the entire school, so that everyone's project ideas can be heard.
